Mediation is the most popular form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). In most Washington State counties mediation is a required process before any case proceeds to trial. Mediations are not subject to formal rules of procedure, thus parties may bring any relevant evidence to a mediation session. Communications in mediation sessions are confidential.
