My practice emphasizes complex civil and criminal litigation in both the State and Federal Courts. I have successfully represented businesses, associations, and individuals in a variety of matters, including, but not limited to construction defect litigation, environmental clean up and permitting issues, commercial contract drafting and disputes, and criminal defense litigation.
In addition to my trial practice, I have also handled several appeals in State and Federal Courts ranging from criminal appeals to condemnation and civil contract appeals. Further, I am the co-author of the Washington Practice: Environmental Law and Practice (2nd Ed) and the sole author of the Washington Practice: Construction Law and Practice (2008). These are handbooks relied upon by practitioners and Courts in ruling on legal matters. I am currently working on another treatise on Washington insurance law.
I was born in Kansas City, Missouri. I received my B.A. in English and Comparative Literature from the University of Washington and my J.D. from Seattle University School of Law. I enjoy reading, golfing, and spending time with my family.
